Branding Manager talks about the Rio 2016 emblem

The date chosen for this historical moment, December 31st, is getting close and the expectation for the grand event happening on the most famous beach in the planet, the Copacabana beach, is getting higher.

At 10 p.m., Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and the world are going to know the emblem selected to represent the first Olympic Games of Brazil and South America. The emblem will be projected in a huge screen built on the beach sand, close to the sea, where there will be some concerts cheering up the party.

The projection of the emblem will be watched by millions of people, which will be at the waterfront waiting on the traditional New Year’s Eve fireworks. The International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge, the Rio 2016 Committee President Carlos Arthur Nuzman, the Minister of Sports Orlando Silva, the state governor Sérgio Cabral and the mayor Eduardo Paes will attend the launch.

Está tudo pronto para a grande festa que marcará o lançamento da logomarca dos Jogos Olímpicos Rio 2016! A data escolhida para esse momento histórico, 31 de dezembro, se aproxima e a expectativa é cada vez maior para o grandioso evento na praia mais famosa do planeta, a Praia de Copacabana.

Às 22 horas (horário de Brasília), o Rio de Janeiro, o Brasil e o mundo conhecerão o logo escolhido para representar os primeiros Jogos Olímpicos do Brasil e da América do Sul. A marca será projetada em um mega telão instalado na areia, próximo ao mar, onde outras atrações farão parte da festa de lançamento.

A projeção será assistida por milhões de pessoas que estarão na orla para acompanhar a tradicional queima de fogos na passagem do ano novo. O presidente do Comitê Olímpico Internacional, Jacques Rogge, o presidente do Comitê Rio 2016, Carlos Arthur Nuzman, o ministro do Esporte, Orlando Silva, o governador Sérgio Cabral e o prefeito Eduardo Paes estarão presentes no lançamento.
